| Description: | The mighty "Corona Borealis cluster" consists of very dim galaxies. The whole cluster fits the entire exepiece field (diameter 15'). With exception of 1, 3 and 4 - visible directly or with averted vision - all galaxies are extremely difficult and at the very limits of detection. Most of them - especially 9, 10 and 12 - require precise knowledge of their positions. However, again the basic GSC finder chart (GUIDE) is extremely erraneous. Actually only POSS corrected MegaStar shows the real positions of the cluster galaxies. Anyway, I have to observe AGC 2065 again with corrected charts to come up with more faint MAC galaxies which MegaStar shows within this fabulous cluster... |
