Description: The "Coma"  - the ultimate galaxy cluster! 92 galaxies are visible within the area. The brightest cluster members NGC 4889 and NGC 4874 are surrounded by a extended halo of fainter galaxies, most of them easily visible in the 18". East of the major galaxies appears to be a merely 15' large area of emptiness. Although many galaxy chains seem to form the outer rim of this empty area. I got the impression to visualize a real void structure. Many face on and elliptical galaxies and only a little number of edge on galaxies are visible. Many stellar and nearly stellar objetcs > 15m (-> interstellarum 7 [1996], 16 -19). (MegaStar chart shows only the central region of AGC 1656):
