Cluster:    Abell 1228 UMa (Abell distance class 1)
Site: Neutsch, Odenwald
fst: 6m,4
Instr.: 457/1850-Newton
Mag. 205
Description: A typical dc1 cluster with a lot of galaxies in a large area (more than 1 in size). The UGC galaxies 1, 2, 3 and 5 seemed to be quite more conspicuous then the central region galaxies (6 - 9). Actually I found higher magnitudes for them in the GSC. However, perhaps they appear brighter due to their bright centres. No. 1 shows a nearly stellar core. (MAC's were switched of on chart).
