Cluster:    Abell 1213 UMa (Abell distance class 2)
Site: Breitenbuch, Odenwald
fst: 6m,7
Instr.: 457/1850-Newton
Mag. 276
Description: This is the second dc2 cluster, situated not far away from AGC 1185, however quite more difficult. The rich central region is pretty compact and a mere 10 arc minutes in size. A finder chart with a higher resolution is recommended for this central area. Many galaxies are visible with 18", even MAC's. However, Abell 1213 is a beautiful rich cluster for larger scopes. Unfortunately it is nearly unknown.
