Cluster:    Abell 1016 Leo (Abell distance class 3)
Site: Breitenbuch (Odenwald)
fst: 6m,7
Instr.: 457/1850-Newton
Mag. 276
Description: An extremely difficult galaxy cluster with only six definetly visible members. Even the major galaxies IC 612 and IC 615 are little conspicuous. Anyway, Abell 1016 is a cruel dc3-cluster which is a hard challenge for an 18 inch scope. Although two MAC galaxies are visible, three more suspected.
